Utterson is appalled by Jekyll’s confession, and soon discovers that Hyde has become increasingly violent and dangerous. He resolves to prevent Jekyll from transforming into Hyde again, but is soon horrified to discover that Jekyll has been unable to stop himself from transforming and is now trapped in the form of Hyde.
