Patrizia “Patty” Castro Dìaz Rivarola has had a distinguished career in the legal field, both in her home country of Peru and internationally. In Peru, she has served as a member of the National Council for Human Rights, the National Council for the Promotion of Gender Equality, and the Technical Commission for the Reform of the Penal Code. She has also been an active member of the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, the Committee on the Rights of the Child, and the United Nations Working Group on the Right to Development.
